Autumn Yoga Retreat

Why not enjoy an early autumn break with yoga at the most beautiful lake in Brandenburg? Stechlinsee will steal a piece of your heart and take your breath away with its magnificence and translucent waters. It is the deepest lake in the region and its crystal clear waters allow for up to eleven meter visibility. Surrounded by forests and other pristine lakes, this special place is a true oasis for a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

The Yoga House

I’m thrilled that this autumn I can take you to my favourite lake in Brandenburg - the Stechlinsee.

I discovered the Yoga House during one of my weekend biking adventures. While cycling through Neuglobsow village, the image of Ganesha in one of the windows, a hindu god known as the remover of obstacles, caught my eye. I stopped to investigate the site and soon I was being shown around the property by Angela and Gerd, founders of the Yoga House.

I like the place in instantly! Located right at the Stechlinsee and with all the facilities needed for a relaxing yoga retreat. The building features a large 100m2 yoga room and a 60m2 outdoor yoga wooden deck, which allows for practice both inside and outside in the fresh air.

When it comes to accommodation, four spacious apartments with south-facing balconies and terraces provide for a very comfortable stay. Each apartment has two or three private bedrooms, shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. The common dinning and living room downstairs is equipped with a fireplace to enjoy on a cooler days while the garden is an ideal spot to chill and get to know each other. Depending on the weather, dinning is also possible in the garden!

Yoga with Marta

This yoga retreat is lead by me - Marta. Over the years, yoga has become an integral part of my life. I have a strong background in both technical and therapeutic aspects of yoga and meditation and I’ve been sharing my passion for it through teaching for over eight years. When I’m not teaching, you can find me going for long walks in the forest, cycling, rock climbing or scouting out crystal clear lakes in the countryside around Berlin. The autumn retreat is designed for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. If you’re familiar with the Ashtanga sequence, in the mornings you’ll be invited to join a Mysore style class. If you’re just beginning your yoga journey or would like a little more guidance through the series, the led Ashtanga class will be a good choice for you.

In the afternoons, we’ll work all together, focusing on the art of relaxation and mindfulness. Finishing the days with restorative yoga will give your body ample time to unwind and activate the parasympathetic nervous system leading to an experience of deep rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Here, we’ll hold the poses for longer periods of time, with the body comfortably supported by a wide range of props. With such a clam state of body and mind, we’ll flow effortlessly into a deep meditative state of the last session.

Getting There

Planning Your Arrival

Our location is easy to access from Berlin. You can drive or take a train (RE5, one every hour) to Fürstenberg/Havel and then either bike, walk or take a bus (bus number 839 towards Menz, get off at Neuglobsow) or taxi from the station. Sharing a ride with other participants is also a possibility, you will receive further instructions upon registration. The Yoga Haus is about 10 km away from the train station.
